Pay Rate:
$17-$19.50 per hour Bring Joy to Our Residents Every Day! Melbourne Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Activities Assistant to join our team. In this role, you'll help enhance the quality of life for our residents by planning and leading meaningful recreational and social activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Key Responsibilities Assist the Activities Director with creating and posting monthly activity calendars Distribute calendars to resident rooms and common areas throughout the facility Interview residents and families to identify interests and activity preferences Escort and assist residents to and from activity locations Facilitate group and one-on-one activities that encourage engagement and socialization Document participation and resident responses in activity progress notes Observe and report changes in resident mood, behavior, or engagement Assist with off-site outings and special events Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for effective activity planning Support Resident and Family Council meetings and quality assurance initiatives Requirements Valid CNA License (preferred) Minimum 1 year of experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting Benefits Comprehensive Medical & Dental Coverage Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) Retirement Plan Employee Recognition Program Supportive, team-oriented work environment Company perks and employee discounts Ready to make a difference while doing something fun and fulfilling?
