Job Summary Coordinates and supports the daily operational activities of the eSports program, serving a shared role between the intramural/recreational eSports club and the varsity competitive eSports program. Assists in the implementation and delivery of competitive events, recreational gaming opportunities, and student engagement initiatives. Provides administrative, logistical, and programmatic support to ensure the smooth operation of both competitive and recreational eSports offerings. Collaborates with students, campus partners, and external stakeholders to enhance participation, foster community, and promote student development through gaming and competitive activities. Contributes to the ongoing growth and evolution of Esports and Student Life & Development by supporting short- and long-term program goals aligned with the universitys mission and student experience priorities. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and evolving environment. Assists in developing and coordinating a comprehensive calendar of campus and regional programs and engagements, including tournaments, symposiums, summer youth camps, pop-up events. Serves as a representative to competitive eSports leagues and governing bodies (e.g., rules committees, conference initiatives), while supporting the development of partnerships with academic units, alumni, and external sponsors. Assists with the development and execution of digital marketing, social media, and streaming strategies, including the promotion and support of campus and virtual events. Assists in the recruitment, selection, training, and retention of students and volunteers involved in the eSports program. Supports and coordinates weekly training sessions for varsity players, promoting their personal and professional development while ensuring adherence to state and university policies. Coordinates and oversees the operation of the eSports arena, including organizing and supporting programs and events during student training and gameplay. Supervises student assistants and team players, including coordinating schedules and ensuring adequate coverage for program operations. Serves as a liaison to eSports registered student organizations and supports the development and ensures alignment with university and department rules and guidelines. Serves as university representative in the development of a national collegiate eSports conference and similar international leagues. Coordinates team travel to local, regional, and national competitions and accompanies varsity student athletes traveling for league and tournament matches. Supports the work and mission of the Division of Student Life through committees, task forces, and special assignments. Assists in the implementation of childrens educational programming, educator initiatives, and internship and research opportunities related to eSports youth summer camps. Serves as the merchant account's primary contact or technical contact; Handles sensitive cardholder information and/or processes credit cards transactions for the department/unit; Will have access to a third party system (software, gateway, etc.) that processes, transmits, and/or stores cardholder information. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience. Desired Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of recreational gaming best practices, the culture of championship play, collegiate rules, and regulations.
