Recreation Aide Print Apply Recreation Aide Salary $16.36 - $25.34 Hourly Location Florida 33156, FL Job Type Part-Time Job Number 2026-0011 Department Community Center Division Community Center Opening Date 03/05/2026 Closing Date 3/31/2026 4:30 PM Eastern Description Benefits Questions General Purpose Performs maintenance and custodial duties and is responsible for the safety and supervision of participants in Village-coordinated functions within the Community Center and athletic field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Performs general maintenance and clean-up duties such as the emptying of trash, sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors, wiping down tables and chairs and other furnishings, replenishing toilet paper and hand towels, and cleaning restrooms. Performs manual work in semi-skilled jobs involving maintenance, repair of buildings, grounds and construction, including pressure cleaning, graffiti removal, painting and other related tasks. Greets visitors in a friendly and sincere manner; assists the general public, in person and on the telephone by providing general information regarding the Community Center's programs and events. Performs concession and cashier duties, including the sale of retail products. Performs cash and credit card transactions. Operates recreation software to perform membership, class, and program registration. Assists with the coordination of recreational activities and programs, including setting up and cleaning of rooms for recreational activities and party rentals. Enforces safety and other department rules and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent and specialized training/experience as a camp instructor, teacher, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Application Process & Documentation Instructions:
