This is a non-paid position but we do offer a small stipend. This is more for community service hours. High school student or college student. This is a unique opportunity to combine your passion for sports coaching, physical education, and childcare in a lively, energetic environment. You will lead engaging sports activities, supervise campers, and foster a fun, safe atmosphere that encourages teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. Whether you're passionate about swimming, martial arts, or team sports like basketball and cheerleading, your role will be vital in creating a positive camp experience for all participants. Duties Lead and facilitate a variety of sports activities including basketball, soccer, baseball and other recreational sports. Supervise campers during all camp activities to ensure safety and proper behavior management. Teach basic skills in sports and physical education while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition. Maintain a safe environment by monitoring activity areas such as pools (with Lifeguard experience), gyms, climbing walls, and outdoor fields. Assist in planning daily schedules of sports events and recreational activities that engage campers of diverse skill levels. Support campers' social development by encouraging participation, fostering confidence, and managing behavioral challenges positively. Collaborate with fellow staff members to ensure smooth operation of camp programs and uphold safety protocols at all times. Skills Basic skills in all the sports Willing to learn, willing to work Familiarity with health club or gym environments is a plus for leading fitness-based activities. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children and collaborate with team members.
