Summer Camp Counselor Kimama NY INC North Miami, FL Job Details Temporary $650 a week 19 hours ago Qualifications School experience CPR Certification Teamwork Interpersonal skills Camp Full Job Description Camp Counselor - Camp Kimama Miami (FIU Biscayne Bay Campus) Camp Counselors at Camp Kimama Miami, located at FIU Biscayne Bay Campus, are at the heart of the camp experience, supporting and guiding a group of campers throughout the day. This role focuses on creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where kids can build friendships, try new things, and feel a strong sense of belonging. Rooted in a warm Israeli Jewish camp culture, our program blends play, creativity, and personal growth in a way that feels both joyful and meaningful. Responsibilities include supervising campers, leading or assisting with activities (sports, arts, nature, water play, etc.), supporting transitions throughout the day, and helping with group dynamics and conflict resolution. Counselors work closely with the Assistant Camp Director and team to ensure each camper feels seen, supported, and engaged. What We're Looking For Warm, positive energy and a genuine love for working with kids Strong communication and ability to connect with different ages Ability to lead activities and keep groups engaged Responsible, attentive, and safety-focused Team player with a collaborative mindset Flexible and able to adapt in a dynamic environment High energy, playful, and willing to be fully involved in camp life Experience & Requirements Experience working with kids (camps, schools, babysitting, youth programs, etc.) preferred Must be 16+ by the start of camp Based in/able to commute to FIU Biscayne Bay Campus Desired Qualifications (Not Required) Current First Aid and CPR certification Ability to speak or understand Hebrew Experience with water-based programs, outdoor education, or adventure activities Familiarity with social-emotional learning and positive behavior management Join Our Team This Summer Join our team at FIU Biscayne Bay Campus this summer and be part of something special.
