At the Speer Branch YMCA, we're looking for a creative Culinary Camp Counselor to lead a 10-week hands-on cooking adventure for young campers. From baking sweet treats to teaching kitchen confidence and nutrition basics, you'll help campers discover the joy of cooking in a fun, safe, and supportive environment.

Duties:

Lead exciting, interactive cooking camps throughout our 10-week Summer Camp Teach basic cooking and baking skills, kitchen safety, and nutrition fundamentals Promote proper food safety, sanitation, and safe kitchen practices Help plan engaging culinary activities and assist with purchasing supplies Create a welcoming, high-energy camp experience where every child feels included

Requirements:

Strong kitchen skills and a genuine passion for cooking Availability for the full 10-week Summer Camp Experience working with children (preferred) Positive attitude, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with youth Culinary degree not required - talent and passion matter most Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screen Clearance of a Level 2 background check via fingerprinting•

Pay & Perks:

Part-time/seasonal, $18.00-$20.00 per hour, FREE individual YMCA membership for self and discounted membership for household family members.
