Control number 865544700 This job is open to Help The public U.S. Citizens, Nionals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Help General (Duties include but are not limited to): Employee oversees the operion of all pools, pool facilities, and all associed aquics programs including swimming lessons, parties, special events, swim team, swim meets, PRT, and all reled activities. Reviews pron usage and assesses program needs. Researches and recommends additions and/or changes to current programming providing da to substantie. Ensures all aquics programs are suited to site pronage and within facility limitions while meeting all time and financial constraints. Responsible for running a well-rounded and comprehensive aquics program for Active-Duty personnel, military families, retired military, and all other authorized prons of Naval Air Stion JAX. Employee oversees the maintenance of all pools, pool facilities, and equipment in support of the aquics program. Keeps accure maintenance records and ensures proper wer chemistry is maintained all times by consistently monitoring. Maintains internal controls over all aquic's facilities, equipment, vehicles, supplies, and fees. Administers all safety programs reled to aquic operion and maintains a safe and healthy environment for all prons and aquics personnel. Assists in the preparion and administrion of the annual aquics budget. Prepares all necessary paperwork and documention used in the purchase of supplies and equipment in support of the aquic's operion. Supervision shall include but not limited to the following duties: Incumbent oversees the day-to-day operion of the two pools and area programs and staff, both on a seasonal and year-round capacity. Ensures th all lifeguards and Wer Safety Instructors (WSI) maintain up-to-de required training certificions as required by their position and can execute emergency action plans for their area of responsibility. Administers have written practical wer safety tests to ensure the qualificions of lifeguards and instructors assigned to the swimming pools. Staff during the summer aquics season, are approximely 25-30 lifeguards, wer safety instructors, and pool concession workers and 3-8 lifeguards and wer safety instructors during nonsummer season. Supervisory responsibilities involve recruitment, interviewing, selection, oriention, training and evaluing performance. Incumbent counsels, issues basic disciplinary actions, recommends awards and approves leave. Responsible for the operion of the swimming lesson program to include planning and implemention, ensuring compliance with American Red Cross standards, maintaining records and reporting da to the Red Cross. Monitors the handling of funds in the retail operion and ensures th the DAR's are properly submitted. Audits change funds, ring out registers the end of a pool concession aide's shift. Incumbent may have to perform lifeguarding duties. Incumbent conducts Red Cross CPR, AED, and first aid training for all MWR Fitness, Sports and Aquics Division staff as required. Incumbent may be tasked as serving as the Manager On-Duty (MOD) for the Fitness Center operion including supervision of recreion aides, fitness trainers, and custodial staff. During MOD shifts, incumbent responsible for all front-of-the house operions of the fitness center including, but not limited to, assigning staff work areas and responsibilities, monitoring staff, handling pron issues, and all necessary paperwork regarding the Point-of-Sale cash registers. Incumbent may assist in other Fitness, Sports and Aquics Division events as well as MWR events as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned. American Red Cross or YMCA lifeguard training or equivalent, YMCA Aquic Facility Manager or Nional Pool/Spa Operor Certifice, American Red Cross Instructor-Trainer in lifeguarding or American Red Cross Wer Safety Instructor-Trainer or equivalent. Incumbent must possess American Red Cross instructor certificion to teach CPR (infant, child, and adult), First Aid, and Automed External Defibrillor (AED). Incumbent must demonstre an ability to speak effectively about the program and to motive interested groups of active-duty personnel and their dependents in reled aquics programs.
