We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Activities Assistant to join our team at Glenwood Health Center by Harborview in Decatur, GA. As an Activities Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and engaging environment for our residents. Role:
As an Activities Assistant, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading a variety of activities designed to promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity among our residents.
This may include:
Planning and implementing daily activities, such as games, arts and crafts, and exercises Coordinating and leading group outings and community events Developing and implementing individualized activity plans to meet the unique needs and interests of our residents Collaborating with other care team members to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to resident care
Requirements:
0 years of experience in a healthcare setting (training provided) Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and ambulate throughout the facility
