Activity Assistants - Part-time

Shifts:

7a-3:30p /11:00pm - 7:00pm / 2:00pm-7:00p - Sat/Sun Required Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of seniors? Oahu Care Facility is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our compassionate team. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by assisting with the planning, organizing, and implementation of recreational and social activities.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and implementing a variety of engaging activities and programs tailored to the interests and abilities of our residents. Encourage resident participation in activities to promote social interaction, physical well-being, and mental stimulation. Provide assistance and support to residents during activities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Collaborate with the activities coordinator and other team members to develop innovative and creative activity ideas. Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to assess the effectiveness of activities and make improvements as needed. Foster a positive and supportive environment that promotes the dignity, independence, and well-being of our residents.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in recreational therapy, gerontology, or related field preferred. Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members. Enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with seniors. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team.
