The Location:
Hale Makua Health Services is a Maui based non-profit that improves the well-being of those in its care throughpassionate personalized health services. We are devoted to helping Maui's Elders live their best lives. Hale Makua's Kahului location is a 254-bed nursing facility.
The Position:
We're looking for passionate Activities Assistant to provide on-going meaningful activities based on resident's individual needs and interests. Leads group activities and visits residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director. Visits with residents on a one-to-one basis as directed by the Activities Director for the purpose of providing one or more of the following: Friendly visits, Physical activity, Emotional support, Sensory stimulation, reality orientation, and Intellectual stimulation. Participates in individual and group activities with residents and other care teams. s to Activities Director on resident's responses and/or progress to specific approaches utilized. Documents residents progress as assigned. Apanies residents on excursions, and drives facilities Handy Van.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver's License required Related experience in recreation setting or with group activities preferred. Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house).
