Shift Schedule:
1:00pm - 9:00pm Responsibilities The Recreation Aide organizes and directs trainees in leisure- time recreation/non-vocational activities and leadership programs. Assists in center-sponsored trips and events including escorting and chaperoning. At times, may drive the students on trips/events. The Recreation Aide assists with Water Safety programming (videos, swimming certification and swim lessons} and CIS documentation- if applicable. May provide instructions to trainees in various recreational clubs such as sports, poetry, drama, talent shows, etc., and other creative activities, such as arts and crafts. Mentor students in Recreation Aide Program to help establish life skills. Qualifications Associates of Arts degree or one (1) year of related experience working with youth. Prefer experience in a recreation/non-vocational program. Must be flexible with work schedule to include weekends, holidays and/or nights. Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record. Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
