March 23, 2026 JOB DETAILS DESCRIPTION Department Parks and Recreation Benefits Click here to review a Summary of Employee Benefits Civil Service Status This is NOT a Civil Service position Regular Hours Weekdays 7:00am•6:00pm Weekend, weeknight, and on-call work as required Tentative Start Date May 2026 Job Summary Under the general direction of the Recreation Program/Facility Supervisor and/or Recreation Coordinator, coordinates, schedules, and leads participants in a variety of recreational activities and assists with organizing and implementing activities in the recreation program. This intermittent position is based out of the RecPlex and camps will take place at the RecPlex in West Des Moines. Deadline to Apply Open until filled. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent plus six (6) months of work experience in the field of recreation or one (1) year of additional schooling in recreation, education, or related field.
