July 6-9 (INL STEM Camp, Garden City) July 13-16 (INL STEM Camp, Garden City) July 20-24 (Camp Echo, Boise) July 27-31 (Camp Echo, Boise) August 3-6 (INL STEM Camp, Garden City This position is seasonal and does not include room and board.
Position Summary:
The best, most fun, challenging job you will ever love! As a Floater Day Camp Counselor, you will support both Camp Echo and
INL STEM
camp programs by providing flexible staffing coverage where needed. You will nurture, interact, and create a safe and inclusive environment in which all campers have a fun-filled, exciting camp experience. This role is ideal for someone adaptable, reliable, and excited to work in a variety of settings with different teams and camper groups. You will step in to assist with camper supervision, programming, and daily operations across multiple camps.

Responsibilities:
Float between Camp Echo and
INL STEM
camps based on staffing needs and assignments Support camper units (ages 5-11) alongside assigned counselors and staff teams Assist in leading camp programs such as Girl Scout badges, hiking, biking, STEM, arts and crafts, group games, and field trips Step into different roles as needed, including activity support, group supervision, and program facilitation Provide camper supervision at all times, including activities, transitions, and pickup/drop-off Participate in all camp activities and actively engage with campers Assist with setup and takedown of camp activities and stations daily Attend daily staff meetings and debriefs at assigned camp locations Provide excellent customer service to families, caregivers, and visitors Follow and support all safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures at each site Maintain flexibility with schedule, location, and daily assignments Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older and have graduated high school (or equivalent) Current First Aid & CPR certification (trainings available through our Council) Must be available Monday through Friday during camp operations, typically 8:00am•5:00pm (or until the last camper is picked up) Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between Camp Echo and INL camp locations as scheduled Experience working with children required Ability to adapt quickly to different environments, teams, and schedules Strong communication and teamwork skills Must be able to pass a background check
