In this dynamic role, you will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children during their summer adventures. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire early childhood development, foster creativity, and promote positive social interactions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in childcare, education, and camp programming. Responsibilities Supervise and engage PreK children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills. Implement daily schedules that include arts and crafts, outdoor play, storytime, and group games to ensure a balanced and fun camp experience. Maintain a safe environment by monitoring children closely, enforcing rules, and managing behavior with positive guidance techniques. Assist with classroom management and adapt activities to meet the individual needs of children, including those requiring special education support. Provide basic first aid when necessary and communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's day. Support early childhood education principles by encouraging curiosity, independence, and respectful interactions among campers. Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan and execute camp events, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants. Skills Strong classroom management skills to maintain order while fostering a fun learning environment. Experience in early childhood education or childcare settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of behavior management strategies suitable for young children. Ability to provide first aid and respond calmly to emergencies or health concerns. Excellent communication skills for working with children, parents, and team members. Familiarity with special education needs and inclusive teaching practices is a plus. Passion for working with children and supporting their developmental milestones through engaging activities such as sports coaching, theater arts, or tutoring. This role is perfect for energetic individuals who are dedicated to nurturing young minds in a lively camp setting!
Pay:
$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
