We are seeking a dedicated and caring Activity Aide to join our team at Evercare at Stearns in Granite City, IL. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by planning and implementing engaging activities, promoting socialization, and fostering a sense of community. Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and lead activities that cater to the diverse interests and abilities of our residents, including arts, crafts, games, and entertainment Develop and maintain a calendar of activities that promotes socialization, creativity, and cognitive stimulation Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, and other team members to develop and implement individualized activity plans that support resident care goals Assist with transportation and escorting residents to and from activities and outings Maintains a safe and clean environment for activity programs, including setting up and cleaning up after activities Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; some experience working with older adults preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and teammates Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
