Job Description

Job Summary Under the direction and supervision of the Recreation Facilities Coordinator, the Front Desk Attendant will assist the members and patrons at Centennial Ice Arena with questions and inquiries while providing extraordinary customer service. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities. Essential Job Duties Include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. Responsible for providing quality customer service and customer relations. Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner when entering and exiting the building. Assist patrons with Centennial Ice and Gymnastics information and general PDHP information. Process sales of POS items and punch passes. Ensure accuracy on paperwork and processing and perform open and end of shift cash drawer verification. Check in participants for daily drop in and pre-registered programs. Use registration system to enroll patrons in programs and special events. Ensure information is available to patrons and the public. Perform light office work such as filing, copying and other duties as assigned. Maintain a clean workstation, skate storage area and lobby area. Answer and direct phone calls to appropriate areas. Enforce facility policies and rules. Hand out skates and return skates to skate storage in an organized manner. Sharpen skates as needed. Communicate promptly with facility staff any custodial needs Cover building coordinator during breaks and act as MOD if needed. Perform other Park District-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
American Red Cross CPR/AED Classification:
Part-Time, non-exempt
Wage Range:
$15.50-$19.00 per hour

Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job may be exposed to cold working conditions with some slightly disagreeable features. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
