Summer Day Camp Counselor (School Age)

Overview Kids at the Creek Childcare Center is hiring for our Summer School Age Program! We are looking for energetic, dependable, and positive team members who enjoy working with children in kindergarten through elementary ages. This position is ideal for someone who loves planning fun activities, being active, and creating a safe and structured summer environment for kids. Responsibilities Supervise and engage school-age children in a safe and positive environment Plan and lead daily activities such as games, crafts, STEM projects, and outdoor play Support daily routines including meals/snacks, transitions, and group activities Maintain classroom/program structure and behavior expectations Ensure proper supervision at all times (indoors, outdoors, field trips if applicable) Follow state licensing guidelines and center policies Communicate professionally with families and staff Maintain cleanliness and organization of program areas Assist with group management and safety during activities Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High school diploma Experience working with children preferred (camp, daycare, coaching, etc.) Ability to pass required background checks and meet state childcare requirements Must be dependable, energetic, and able to stay active throughout the day Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and participate in outdoor activities Preferred Qualifications CPR/First Aid Certification Previous experience in a licensed childcare setting Strong teamwork and communication skills Join us in making a difference in the lives of young children by providing them with the care and education they deserve!
