Job Description

Clinton Place is seeking an Activities Assistant! Are you passionate about making every day meaningful for seniors? Affinity for Her Memory Care is seeking a compassionate, creative Activities Assistant to join our dedicated team! We specialize in providing exceptional care for women living with memory loss, and we're looking for someone who brings energy, empathy, and experience to our community.
Essential Functions:
Assist in planning, coordinating, and leading meaningful activities tailored to residents living with memory loss. Encourage participation through patience, creativity, and genuine engagement. Escort residents to on-site and community events as assigned. Help register residents for activities, programs, and special outings. Conduct activities under the guidance of the Resident Program Director. Maintain and organize activity supplies, including purchasing items as needed. Assist in surveying and interviewing residents to discover interests and measure satisfaction. Observe residents and share relevant information with care team members. Follow departmental budget guidelines. Attend required training, in-service sessions, and staff meetings. Promote a safe, positive, and professional environment for residents, families, and co-workers. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required (or equivalent experience). Previous long-term care experience required; memory care experience strongly preferred. 6 months-1 year of experience leading or assisting with activities in a senior living or healthcare setting. Ability to take initiative and lead activities when the Activities Director is unavailable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with individuals with cognitive, physical, or sensory challenges. Moderate physical activity required (lifting up to 25 lbs, standing/walking up to 4 hours per day, bending/stooping). Must be comfortable using computers and supporting documentation as needed. Occasional travel may be required.
