Activities Assistant

Duties Develop and implement diverse activity programs that cater to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific activities Assist with planning special events, outings, and recreational therapies that promote socialization and engagement Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to coordinate activities that support residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive health Support residents with daily activities such as arts and crafts, games, music therapy, and exercise sessions Help residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility assistance, dressing, and personal hygiene as needed Maintain accurate records of participation, resident preferences, and activity outcomes for documentation purposes Foster a warm, inclusive environment by encouraging social interaction among residents and staff Experience Prior experience in assisted living or long-term care settings is preferred Demonstrated background in event planning or recreational therapy within senior care or nursing home environments Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and aging issues counseling is advantageous Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in home & community care settings is a plus Strong communication skills for engaging residents effectively and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Familiarity with assisting residents with ADLs (activities of daily living) and schedule management Background in social work or caregiving roles that involve senior care or recreational therapy is desirable Join us to create joyful experiences that enhance our residents' quality of life! Pay:

$17.00 - $18.50 per hour
