Job Description

Our skilled care community is seeking a dedicated Activity Assistant to join our dynamic team! As an Activity Assistant, you will do more than just plan events; you will create vibrant community experiences, promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall joy for our residents. These positions are every other weekend 9-5 both days What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Create Joy:
Plan, organize, and execute engaging recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including memory care and dementia-specific programming.
Enhance Well-being:
Facilitate therapeutic sessions that promote cognitive function, physical activity, and emotional health.
Provide Support:
Assist residents with daily activities (ADLs) such as mobility and social participation, fostering independence and dignity.
Collaborate & Care:
Work closely with our nursing team to ensure activities align with individual care plans.
Coordinate Schedules:
Manage activity calendars efficiently to ensure timely, high-quality programming.
Foster Inclusion:
Build a welcoming, inclusive environment for residents of diverse backgrounds. What You'll Bring (Qualifications)
Experience:
Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care is highly desirable.
Expertise:
Knowledge of Alzheimer's/memory care techniques, dementia strategies, and senior care best practices.
Passion:
A genuinely compassionate attitude with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for improving quality of life.
Skills:
Strong event planning, communication, and recreational therapy skills.
Dedication:
