Summer Camp Counselor - Summer Job (Tennis Focus)

South Shore YMCA Day Camp Pay:

$15-$17/hour

Bonus:

Up to $400 bonus for working 5 full days in Weeks 9 & 10 Looking for a fun, active summer job working with kids and tennis? Join the South Shore YMCA Day Camp team! Our camps serve children ages 6-12 and offer a summer full of sports, games, arts & crafts, swimming, and outdoor adventures. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys playing tennis and working with kids. You'll help lead beginner-level tennis activities while creating a safe and fun camp experience. Great opportunity to gain leadership, coaching, and youth development experience while spending your summer outdoors. Job Responsibilities

• Help lead beginner tennis activities and games for campers
• Assist with sports, group games, and camp activities
• Supervise and engage campers in a safe, positive environment
• Be a positive role model for children
• Work as part of a team with other counselors and camp staff
• Follow YMCA safety and supervision guidelines
• Help keep camp areas clean, organized, and safe Qualifications
• Must be at least 16 years old
• Experience working with school-age kids (camp, sports, after-school, coaching, etc.) preferred
• At least 1 year of experience teaching or assisting kids' tennis lessons or clinics (ages 6-12)
• Must commit to working Monday-Friday each week in one of these shifts:

Half-day:

9:00 AM-12:00 PM

Full-day:

9:00 AM-4:30 PM

• Camp runs 10 weeks (Mon-Fri), starting June 15 and ending August 21
• Interest in working with children or youth programs
• Positive attitude, dependable, and responsible
• Ability to work well with kids, families, and team members
• Comfortable being active and outdoors
