Orchard Hills-Who We Are Orchard Hills Athletic Club was established over 35 years ago and has grown into one of New England's largest full-service athletic clubs; all the features of a health club and much more. Located in North Central Massachusetts, Orchard Hills features facilities, programs, and services for every age, interest and ability. Orchard Hills is the area's largest athletic club and the only club to have a beautiful outdoor complex with waterslide, year-round children's programs, indoor jogging track and indoor pool and whirlpool. Known for years for its exceptional tennis programming, Orchard Hills has quickly become the leader in fitness, group exercise, school vacation and summer camps, basketball, Pickleball, personal and private training, and senior programming. Core Responsibilities 1. Departmental Leadership & SOP Management Supervise, schedule, and mentor a team of Fitness Consultants and Personal Trainers. Refine and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for member assessments, floor interactions, and training sessions. Conduct regular staff audits to ensure coaching quality and administrative accuracy (CRM logging, program design). 2. The Member Journey (Onboarding & Retention) Own the 30-60-90 day member onboarding process , ensuring every new joiner hits their specific movement and engagement milestones. Manage the "New Joins" tracker, assigning leads to the appropriate trainers or consultants based on member goals. Analyze member usage data to proactively address retention risks before they result in cancellations. 3. Revenue & Performance Growth Drive departmental revenue by meeting monthly targets for new memberships and personal training packages. Develop "bridge" programs that move members from general facility use into specialized performance training or small-group classes.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
3+ years in fitness management or as a senior trainer with a proven track record of hitting sales and retention targets.
Technical Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of functional movement, strength and conditioning, and long-term athletic development (LTAD).
Leadership:
Strong ability to manage diverse personalities, from entry-level consultants to veteran coaches.
Organization:
Expert-level proficiency in CRM systems and a "process-first" mindset regarding member tracking.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field; National Certification (NASM, CSCS, or equivalent).

Personal Training Penetration:
The percentage of the total membership base utilizing personal training or specialized programs.
Onboarding Milestone Completion:
Ensuring 90%+ of new members complete their 30 and 60-day assessments.
Departmental Revenue:
Consistently hitting or exceeding monthly combined sales quotas for memberships and training.
