Hours :
Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, 8 hour shift At the time of an offer, determination of your offer will reflect your skills and experience as it relates to the position. As a member of the Programs Department, the Life Enrichment Coordinator or Assistant plays a vital role in coordinating and implementing programs that cater to the physical, social, educational, and spiritual needs of our residents. From organizing enriching activities to providing transportation services, this role is instrumental in enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
Core Duties and Departmental Expectations:
Adhere to policies and procedures of Youville Place. Exceed hospitality and service standards. Demonstrate sensitive communication skills. Maintain confidentiality and uphold residents' dignity. Participate in continuing education opportunities. Contribute to our commitment to environmental sustainability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise residents and participants in programs. Coordinate program setup and logistics. Develop, implement, and evaluate programs. Promote programs through various channels. Assist in publication of newsletters and evaluation tools.
Qualifications:
Understanding of older adults' rights and needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks as required. One year of relevant caregiving experience preferred. Education/training related to the needs of older adults.
Language Skills:
Effective communication skills in English. Ability to interact well with coworkers and residents. Strong listening, comprehension, and speaking abilities.
Reasoning/Judgment Ability:
Clear thinking and problem-solving skills. Patient and understanding demeanor.
