Activities Assistant

Athena Health Care Systems Activities Assistant Worcester, MA Apply We are seeking a passionate and creative Activities Assistant to join our recreation team at Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center! As an Activities Assistant, you will assist in planning, organizing, and directing recreational activities for our residents, ensuring their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being is maintained. Responsibilities:

Coordinate and run events and activities programming Build relationships with residents to tailor programming to their interests and desires Organize group and individual programming Generate ideas for exciting and engaging activities Encourage residents to participate in activities that stimulate their potential Assist with establishing resident care goals within the framework of the therapeutic team Document and report any unusual or significant findings Report all reportable events immediately

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Must be at least 18 years old Ability to make independent decisions Knowledge of the Privacy Rule and ability to ensure compliance Patient, tactful, and cheerful disposition Ability to relate information concerning a resident's condition Participation in continuing education and inservice training
