Weekend Memory Care Activity Assistant Holy Trinity Nursing and Rehabilitation Center - 3.2 Worcester, MA Job Details Part-time $18 - $20 an hour 8 hours ago Qualifications Working with seniors High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Weekends Only | Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Are you passionate about helping older adults live their best lives? Do you have a creative, compassionate spirit and want to make a tangible difference on the weekends? If so, we want you to join our team as a Weekend Memory Care Activity Assistant ! In this role, you will plan, implement, and coordinate therapeutic recreational activities tailored for our memory care residents. Your goal is to provide meaningful, stimulating experiences that promote cognitive function, physical well-being, social interaction, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities Activity Delivery:
Plan, prepare, and lead engaging individual and group activities specifically designed for memory care residents.
Adaptive Care:
Modify activities on the fly to meet the unique cognitive and physical abilities of each resident, ensuring everyone can participate.
Engagement & Safety:
Encourage resident participation while maintaining a safe, supportive, and positive environment during all weekend events.
Collaboration & Tracking:
Monitor and document resident participation and progress. Coordinate briefly with the weekday care team to ensure continuity of care.
Program Growth:
Assist in identifying fresh, new activity ideas and resources to keep the weekend calendar vibrant.
Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
At least one (1) year of experience working with older adults (experience in a memory care or dementia care setting is highly preferred).
Skills:
Strong interpersonal communication, patience, empathy, and a natural ability to connect with residents experiencing cognitive decline.
Mindset:
Ability to work independently on the weekends while seamlessly aligning with our overall care team goals. What We Offer Competitive Hourly Pay (commensurate with experience).
