Job Description
Summary Do you love teaching, technology, and inspiring the next generation of innovators? As a Summer Camp Counselor and STEM Instructor at CSP Tech Summer Camp, you'll take center stage leading engaging, hands-on sessions in game design, coding, robotics, and emerging technologies. Hosted on vibrant college campuses, this role is perfect for enthusiastic educators, tech-savvy college students, and creative minds eager to make an impact. You'll guide small groups of learners through immersive projects while fostering a fun, inclusive, and safe environment. Every day is an opportunity to spark curiosity and unlock camper's code superpowers.
Responsibilities Instructional Duties:
Prepare and deliver curriculum-based lessons to small groups (5-8 students). Provide individual support to help campers achieve key learning objectives. Facilitate interactive workshops using platforms like Scratch, Roblox, Python, and Minecraft. Provide regular updates to families regarding student progress.General Duties:
Assist with set-up, breakdown, and equipment inventory (must be able to lift 50 lbs). Help facilitate camper check-in/out, including greeting families and managing paperwork. Lead team-building and recreational activities. Escort campers between stations and lunch breaks.Health & Safety:
Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment. Supervise campers during all camp hours. Address and document any health or behavior-related incidents. Qualifications Expertise in 2+ areas: coding, game design, robotics, AI, or web development. Previous experience teaching or mentoring youth. Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills. Must be 18+ years old; college students, recent grads, and educators preferred. Why Join CSP?
