Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, implementation, and coordination of activities for our residents. This role requires experience in dementia care and assisted living.
Duties:
  • Assist in planning and organizing a variety of recreational activities for residents, including games, crafts, exercise programs, and social events
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
  • Collaborate with the activity director to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents
  • Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents during activities
  • Assist with event planning and coordination
Experience:
  • Previous experience working with seniors in a assisted living or nursing home setting
  • Knowledge of dementia care techniques preferred
  • Familiarity with social work principles and practices
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple activities
Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with seniors
  • Ability to adapt activities to meet the individual needs and preferences of residents
  • Creativity in developing engaging and stimulating activities
  • Strong problem-solving skills to address any challenges that may arise during activities We offer competitive compensation for our employees.
