Job Description

Camp Counselor:
Camp Counselors (must be 18+ years old) work with a specific group of campers throughout the summer. This position can often vary because of our campers' range of ages, which starts at age three to 16 years old.
Who We Are:
Camp Sonshine is an award-winning, county, and state licensed Christian day camp in Maryland. We provide both summer day camp and year-round programming such as Before And After School Care, for school-aged children in Montgomery County. Our programs are tailored to meet the developmental needs of each age group that we serve. We handpick our staff from all over the world that love working with youth and who intentionally model the kind of behavior parents want their children to emulate. We are a service-based ministry. We do not pay an hourly wage, but those who wish to serve will receive a weekly living stipend of around $220 a week! Why Work at Camp Sonshine? Core Responsibilities:
Assist, support, check in with, and motivate campers throughout each day Ensure the safety and skill development of campers at activities and encouraging them to be good team players Be a strong, positive role model to campers and other staff members Care for campers during meal times Help to lead all-camp programs
Requirements:
At least 18 years old Successfully pass a criminal background and sex-offender registry check
Childcare:
1 year (Preferred) First Aid Certification (Preferred) CPR Certification (Preferred) Work authorization (Required) Excitement to learn, grow, and work hard!
