Job Description

The Town of Kennebunk is accepting applications for seasonal Summer Camp Counselors for the 2026 Summer Season. The Town is hiring for two camp programs:
Summer Day Camp :
children grades K-5; up to 40 hrs/week between the hours of 7:30 am - 5:30 pm Amped for
Camp :
children grades 6-8; up to 40 hrs/week between the hours of 7:30 am - 3:30 pm The positions for both camps work Monday through Friday from mid-June to mid-August. The Summer Camp Counselor's primary responsibilities are the daily supervision of the children participating in the Summer Camp program, assisting running activities, and promoting participant involvement in activities. Position Requirements Experience supervising children desirable; Experience assisting with arts/sports/recreational programs; Degree in or current students enrolled in teaching, social work, arts, sports/exercise science or other related field desirable; or Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Pay This is an hourly, non-exempt, seasonal position with a pay range of $15.50 - $18.50/hour. Starting pay is determined based on demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and work experience.
