Day Camp Counselor

Job Summary Join our summer team as a Day Camp Counselor, where your energy and enthusiasm will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow through engaging activities and positive discipleship. In this role, you will create a safe, inclusive, and fun environment for children of various ages, helping them grow in their faith, build friendships, and enjoy memorable summer experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while honing your skills in childcare, education, and youth development. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities, including sports, arts and crafts, waterfront, and outdoor games to promote active participation and enjoyment. Uses the provided curriculum to lead daily small group bible studies Implement age-appropriate behavior management strategies to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all campers. Facilitate group activities that encourage teamwork and communication among children. Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times Maintain open communication with administrators regarding camper progress or concerns. Assist in setting up camp spaces, organizing supplies, and preparing materials for daily activities to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications Has a personal relationship with Christ Has a desire to lead bible studies and have faith-based conversations with campers Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly desirable. Knowledge of basic classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children from diverse backgrounds. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment with enthusiasm and professionalism.
