Activities Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Activities Director supports of Life Enrichment in planning and providing engaging, meaningful activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all residents. This position also provides hands-on assistance to residents during meals and other daily routines as needed, ensuring a positive, person-centered environment.

Activity Support:

Assist of Life Enrichment in organizing and leading small, medium, and large group activities for residents. Encourage participation and ensure all residents feel included and supported during activities.

One-to-One Engagement:

Work individually with residents who are low-functioning or have special needs to provide personalized, one-to-one programs and companionship. Monitor and document resident participation and response to activities.

Organization and Maintenance:

Keep activity areas, supplies, and equipment clean, organized, and stored properly after each use. Report any damaged or missing materials to the Director promptly.

Resident Support:

Assist residents during mealtimes, including helping to feed residents as needed, in a respectful and dignified manner. Provide general support to residents to ensure comfort, safety, and engagement throughout the day.

Team Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with the Life Enrichment team, nursing staff, and other departments to coordinate care and activity participation. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and special events as required.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in activities, recreation, or elder care preferred. Compassionate, patient, and creative with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with residents of varying cognitive and physical abilities. Basic knowledge of person-centered care principles. assist with resident mobility as needed. Part-time or full-time hours, including some weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

$21.00 - $22.00 per hour
