Job Description

Overview Join Evera at Hoyt Lakes as an Activity Aide, where your enthusiasm and compassion will bring joy and engagement to our residents. In this rewarding role, you will plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities designed to promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and physical well-being. Your positive energy will help create a lively, inclusive environment that fosters happiness and a sense of community for all residents. Duties Develop and implement engaging activity programs tailored to residents' interests and abilities Lead group activities such as games, arts and crafts, music sessions, and outings to encourage participation Assist residents in participating in individual or small group activities to promote socialization Monitor residents during activities to ensure safety and provide support as needed Collaborate with staff and family members to identify resident preferences and special needs Maintain activity supplies, equipment, and documentation of participation and feedback Foster a warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages residents' active involvement and enjoyment Skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse populations Creativity in planning fun, meaningful activities that stimulate mind and body Excellent communication skills to motivate residents and collaborate with team members Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude essential for working with seniors or individuals requiring special care Ability to organize schedules, manage supplies, and document activity participation effectively Prior experience in recreational therapy or activity coordination is a plus but not required Flexibility to adapt activities based on residents' changing needs and preferences Join Evera at Hoyt Lakes in making a difference every day! Pay:
$17.14 - $21.23 per hour
