Job Description

Cura Health is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Aide to join our team and help enhance the quality of life for our residents through engaging and meaningful activities. As an Activity Aide, you will play a vital role in planning, leading, and supporting recreational and therapeutic activities that promote physical, mental, and social well-being. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, is creative, and is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in planning and facilitating a variety of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities tailored to the interests and abilities of residents. Engage residents in group and individual activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation. Maintain a safe and supportive environment during all activities. Document participation and progress of residents in activities accurately and timely. Collaborate with healthcare staff and family members to meet residents' needs and preferences. Set up and clean activity areas and materials as needed. Encourage residents' independence and participation to enhance their quality of life. Requirements Previous experience in recreational therapy, activities coordination, or related fields preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and patient attitude. Creativity and enthusiasm to develop engaging and diverse activities. Ability to work effectively with elderly or special needs populations. Physical ability to assist in activities and set up required materials. Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays. Commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all residents. Benefits Paid Time Off (Vacation & Sick) Training & Development $17.25-$19.75/hour casual/on-call
