As a counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and fun environment for children. You will be responsible for leading a group of kids throughout the summer and helping create a summer camp full of fun activities, providing guidance, and ensuring the well-being of campers while fostering their personal growth and development. Duties Supervise and inspire a group of kids Implement daily schedules and ensure that all activities are conducted safely and effectively. Manage camper behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Foster a positive environment for all campers. Lead activities with a group of kids, including gymnastics skills (we will train you) Communicate effectively with the Summer Camp Director. Work with leadership to give and take feedback and implement necessary changes Collaborate with fellow counselors to plan and execute camp events and programs. Qualifications Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camps, or educational environments is preferred. Ability to create a positive space for kids to thrive. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Enthusiastic attitude with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children and staff alike. Must be able to work at least eight camp sessions throughout the summer. Willingness to learn Self-motivated with a proactive attitude; avoid passivity and look for ways to contribute to the team's success. Summer Camp Sessions- must commit to at least 7 sessions (1st and last sessions are required)

Mandatory Staff Training:

June 11th & June 12th 9:00-3:00 Session 1: Week of June 15-19 Session 2: Week of June 22-26 Session 3: Week of July 6-10 Session 4: Week of July 13-17 Session 5: Week of July 20-24 Session 6: Week of July 27-31 Session 7: Week of August 3-7 Session 8: Week of August 10-14
