Summer Programs Lead Preschool Camp Counselor Minnehaha Academy - 4.6 Minneapolis, MN Job Details Seasonal From $22 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Minnehaha Academy is a Christian school and a ministry of the Northwest Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Our mission is to provide a high quality education integrating the Christian faith and learning. Minnehaha Academy's Camp Minnehaha has full-time openings for a Lead Preschool Camp Counselor at our 4200 West River Parkway location.
Position Dates:
June 8 - August 7 , 202 6 . ( T here will be no camp on June 19 & July 3 )
Hours:
8:15 am - 4:15 pm
Salary Range:
Pay starts at $22.00 per hour, with potential increase based on experience. Qualifications Must be 18 years old. High school diploma plus 2,080 hours as an aide or student intern, and 12 quarter credits. Experience in Early Childhood and/or working with preschool children, parents, and staff. Key Skills & Abilities Oversee campers and camp assistants. Ensure a safe and fun camp environment. Ability to maintain a well-behaved classroom and provide direction to assistant counselors when needed. Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities. Timeliness, reliability, and dependability are essential. Flexibility and strong organizational skills. Ability to lift 40 pounds. Other Requirements Passion for working and playing with children. Support the mission of Minnehaha Academy. Ability to complete a background check and DHS required training and courses.
