Job Description

Our Recreation Supervisor leads the department and provides a safe, structured and well-rounded recreation program that includes arts and crafts, sports, games, music, dramatics, social recreation and hobbies, both on our campus and in the community. At the Hubert H. Humphrey Job Corps Center, operated by Education and Training Resources (ETR), you can share your knowledge of recreational activities and passion for the creative side of the arts with at-risk youth and young adults.
MAIN DUTIES
Manage the daily operation of recreational facilities Assess interests of students and plan activities accordingly Train, schedule and supervise staff Monitor and control budget Counsel and motivate students regarding behavior, training, personal and/or work habits, and problems
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time working on Sunday from noon to 9:00 pm and on Monday through Thursday from 1:00 to 10:00 pm; must be willing to adjust schedule and/or work weekends when needed to maintain coverage
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in recreation or a related field (combination of education and experience may substitute on year-for-year basis), two years recreation experience (one of which in supervisory capacity), and valid Minnesota driver's license with a clean driving record.
PAY AND BENEFITS
$45,000 per year plus benefits, including 12 paid holidays; paid vacation and sick time; 401(k) with match; and medical, dental and vision insurance
