Columbia, MO Job Summary:
Seeking dedicated individuals to support youth ages 10-18 with developmental disabilities in a structured, engaging summer camp environment. Camp Counselors will assist participants in daily activities, promote skill development, and help create a safe and inclusive space where each individual can participate meaningfully. This role is well-suited for students or professionals pursuing careers in special education, psychology, social work, recreation therapy, healthcare, or human services. This is a Full-Time Seasonal (Summer) position with Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between 7:45 AM
  • 7:45 PM.

Responsibilities Support individuals in daily activities, community outings, and program participation Assist with personal care, meals, and transportation Complete timely and accurate daily documentation Maintain positive communication with individuals, families, and team members Ensure safety and provide appropriate supervision at all times Represent the organization professionally in the community Key Requirements 18+ years of age High school diploma, GED or equivalent Valid driver's license (ability to obtain class E license within 14 days of hire) Proof of vehicle insurance Successful completion of background checks and reference verifications Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, sit, and use hands regularly May assist with lifting, repositioning, and personal care needs Must be able to support individuals safely during daily activities
