In this flexible role, you will lead recreational and social programs tailored to participants needs, fostering a vibrant community atmosphere. Your compassionate approach and organizational skills will ensure participants experience enriching activities that enhance their quality of life while supporting their individual preferences and abilities. Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging activities focused on memory care, dementia support, and senior wellness, including recreational therapy sessions and social events. Assist participants with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Collaborate with care teams to develop personalized activity plans that address participants' cognitive and physical abilities, especially those with Alzheimer's or other memory impairments. Manage activity schedules efficiently, ensuring timely execution of programs while adapting to participants' changing needs. Support participants in aging issues counseling by providing emotional support and facilitating social interactions that foster community connection. Maintain accurate documentation of participation, progress notes, and activity outcomes for each resident. Role specific Direct Care duties Foster a positive environment by encouraging socialization, participation, and enjoyment among participants through creative programming. Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes or Adult daycare Centters is highly desirable. Direct Care experience Demonstrated expertise in event planning, recreational therapy, or working with individuals with disabilities or dementia is preferred. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging participants effectively and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Experience assisting with ADLs and managing activity schedules enhances your ability to deliver personalized care. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and aging issues counseling will support your success in this role. Background in social work or home & community care provides a solid foundation for understandingparticipants' holistic needs. A compassionate attitude coupled with organizational skills ensures you can manage multiple activities while maintaining a lively, supportive atmosphere.
