Job Description

Duties of the
Assistant Softball Coach:
Coaching duties are assigned by the head softball coach, but may include assisting with recruitment, practices, games, scheduling, compliance, and/or advisement and supervision of student-athletes. Attend special meetings called by the coach, athletic director, vice president of the college, or the president. Must be capable of effectively motivating and supervising students. Must maintain a professional relationship with students and peers. Other duties as assigned by the head softball coach, athletic director, or other appropriate supervisory personal.
Duties of Student Life Assistant:
Duties of the Student Life Assistant will be assigned by the Director of Student Life and will be split between residence life and student activities.
These duties include:
Residence Life:
Assist with On-coverage including a weekend a month and select days during the week, not to exceed 7 days a month. Working around softball activities and other duties assigned. Assist with pre-check-in material packets and during the check-in period each semester Assist with housing assignments, billing, and distribution
Student Activities:
Assist with the first 2 weeks programming Assist with Intra-Murals throughout the year Assist with event promotion and distribution Assist with 1 event weekly, working around other SFCC duties The preceding duties have been provided as examples of the essential types of work performed by positions within this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind work assignments as needed.
Education :
Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree preferred.
Experience :
Collegiate playing experience and/or collegiate coaching experience preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to meet college's insurance requirements for driving college Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrated ability to recruit, retain, train, and develop students-athletes. Valid driver's license, a class-e license and ability to meet college's insurance requirements for driving college vehicles required. Completed applications will include cover letter, resume, three contact references, and unofficial transcripts (official transcripts must be requested upon hire). Employment will require a criminal background check at college expense. Preference is given to Missouri residents.
