In this dynamic role, you'll lead engaging activities, foster a safe and inclusive environment, and create memorable experiences for campers of diverse backgrounds. Your energy and positive attitude will help cultivate a fun, supportive atmosphere that encourages teamwork, creativity, and personal development. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your leadership and childcare skills in a lively outdoor setting. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers by adhering to safety protocols and emergency procedures Manage group dynamics through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques Provide first aid when necessary, maintaining calmness and professionalism during minor injuries or health concerns Support children with special needs by implementing inclusive strategies aligned with their individual plans Foster positive relationships with campers by encouraging teamwork, respect, and kindness Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan, organize, and execute daily schedules that promote childhood development and fun Requirements Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp environments is preferred Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified Strong classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels Excellent communication skills to connect with children, parents, and team members Passion for working with children and creating engaging, educational experiences that support their growth Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or Christian counseling is a plus but not required Embark on an exciting summer adventure where your dedication helps shape joyful memories for young learners!
