Essential Functions What You'll Do At Work Engage! Welcome the community into our spaces. Answer phone calls and respond to emails. Provide departmental and Town information. Monitor facilities and enforce policies and procedures. Be a Leader . Open and/or close recreation and aquatic facilities. Utilize recreation software for program and pass registrations, and reporting. Collect money and prepare deposits. Communicate. Develop relationships, be empathic, build trust, and display patience. Mediate and resolve conflicts.

Attend to injuries. Provide first aid. Complete and submit reports. Inventory and restock supplies. Perform C.P.R. and utilize A.E.D. Learn and Grow . Attend and participate in staff orientation, trainings, and meetings. Develop relationships with co-workers, give and receive feedback, and provide input. Support . Set up, break down, and maintain supplies and equipment. Clean and maintain safe and inclusive spaces. Be flexible and adapt to changes; assist and support where needed. Where You'll Work You'll be working at AD Clark our outdoor pool. When You'll Work S easonal: You'll work anywhere between 20 and 39 hours per week, Monday-Sundays between the hours of 10am-9pm. This is a program support position, working no more than 950 hours annually. What You'll Take Away from Your Experience Working with Chapel Hill Parks & Recreation Develop work ethic, empathy, patience, and awareness. Interpersonal and Leadership skills. Improve critical thinking and problem-solving skills. An American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR, & AED certification. Access to Chapel Hill Parks & Recreation facilities: Chapel Hill Community Center, Nate Davis Sr. Gym, and the Homestead Aquatics Center; includes Basketball, Pickleball, Volleyball, Rock Climbing, and Swimming during drop-in hours. Minimum Qualifications You Should Apply if You Are 18 years of age or older. Enjoy working with the community. Want to discover new things and work to overcome challenges. Preference to those that apply who Have experience working in a customer service role. Speak well enough to effectively communicate with campers and/or their parents in Burmese, Karen, Spanish, and/or Mandarin. This position is designated as Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
