Summer Camp Counselor

Job Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork. Duties Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all activities. Plan and lead engaging activities such as sports, arts and crafts, and educational programs. Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive group dynamic. Provide first aid when necessary and respond to emergencies in accordance with camp policies. Foster an inclusive environment that accommodates children with diverse needs, including those requiring special education support. Educate campers on various skills through tutoring sessions and hands-on learning experiences. Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a cohesive camp experience. Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of camp facilities. Qualifications Previous experience in childcare, babysitting, or as a camp counselor is preferred. Strong skills in behavior management and classroom management techniques. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus. Experience in sports coaching or leading recreational activities is beneficial. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being able to take initiative independently. Passion for working with children and helping them develop new skills.
