Seasonal Full-Time (Summer Position) Starting Point Dance After School and Summer Camp is seeking an energetic, creative, and dependable Summer Dance Camp Counselor / Instructor / Driver to join our team. This position combines teaching dance classes, leading themed camp activities, supervising children, and safely transporting campers to field trips and activities in company passenger vans. Our camps feature exciting weekly themes and introduce children to a variety of dance styles through structured instruction, choreography, games, and creative performance-based activities. Responsibilities Safely transport children to and from field trips using company passenger vans Follow all transportation safety procedures and company policies (training provided) Supervise children during field trips and camp activities Plan and lead dance instruction for campers of various ages Teach a variety of dance styles including: Ballet Jazz Contemporary Hip Hop Creative Movement Musical Theatre K-Pop and other specialty styles Assist with weekly themed dance camps such as: Fairytale Ballet Princess Dance Camps K-Pop Dance Camps Hip Hop Camps Musical Theatre Camps Other creative seasonal themes Choreograph simple routines and end-of-camp performances Maintain a safe, positive, and structured environment at all times Effectively manage and supervise large groups of children Communicate clearly and professionally with parents, children, and staff Assist with daily camp setup, cleanup, and general organization Serve as a positive role model for campers

Qualifications Required:

Must be at least 18 years of age Strong dance background with experience in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and related styles Valid driver's license Clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Ability to safely operate passenger vans (training provided) Ability to work all scheduled shifts throughout the summer Strong leadership and classroom management skills Excellent communication skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Comfortable supervising large groups of children

Preferred:

Previous experience teaching dance to children Experience working in camps, schools, childcare programs, or youth programs Experience creating choreography and themed dance instruction Training Provided No prior passenger van driving experience is required.
