Full-Time Seasonal Summer Camp Counselor Winchester, NH Make a difference this summer in Winchester, NH. Winchester
A.C.C.E.S.S.
is hiring full-time seasonal Summer Camp Counselors to support our summer camp programs from July 6-August 7, with paid training the week before camp begins. This is a great opportunity to earn money, build your resume, and gain hands-on experience working with children and youth in a fun, active camp setting.
Position Overview:
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with youth in a vibrant summer day camp setting. Counselors will help plan and facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate activities alongside experienced educators. This paid position is perfect for high school and college students or professionals looking for an opportunity to grow their skills in education, youth development, or recreation—and make a real impact in the lives of children.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Camp runs Monday-Friday; staff typically work four full days per week with one weekday off, based on program needs and scheduling.
Key Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Supervising children during indoor and outdoor activities Supporting games, crafts, STEM activities, sports, field trips, swimming, and enrichment activities Helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive camp environment Assisting with set-up, clean-up, transitions, meals, and daily routines Engaging positively with students one-on-one and in small groups Supporting behavior expectations and helping students solve problems respectfully Communicating student needs, safety concerns, or incidents to the Site Director Serving as a positive role model and dependable team member
Qualifications:
Experience working with children or youth preferred, but not required Interest in education, recreation, childcare, youth development, or summer camp programming Dependable, flexible, and willing to learn Comfortable being active and participating in camp activities Ability to work as part of a team Must pass required background and criminal records checks
Compensation & Perks:
$14-$17/hour , based on experience Paid seasonal summer position Hands-on experience working with children and youth Opportunities to build skills in leadership, behavior management, mentoring, and activity facilitation Potential to earn college credit, practicum hours, community service hours, or letters of recommendation, depending on individual school/program requirements To apply , email: stephanie@muw.org
