Summer Camp Junior Counselor

Position Summary:

Junior Counselor (Ages 16-17) Future Stars Junior Counselors assist in the daily supervision of campers while helping to promote a safe, fun, and inclusive camp environment. Working under the guidance of Lead Counselors and Camp Leadership, Junior Counselors gain hands-on experience supporting activities, building relationships with campers, and developing leadership skills. Essential Responsibilities Assist Lead Counselors with supervising camper groups, ensuring attention to safety, behavior, and participation Support younger campers by encouraging inclusion, teamwork, and positive engagement Help set up, participate in, and clean up camp activities and projects Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating enthusiasm, responsibility, and respect Follow directions from senior staff and contribute to a cooperative team environment Schedule & Duration Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM Full-time summer position Optional AM and PM extended hours available for additional pay Benefits Valuable leadership and work experience Community service hours (if applicable) Opportunity for growth into a future Counselor role Additional pay for extended hours (optional) Fun, supportive, and team-oriented work environment
