The Recreation Aide shall provide assistance and conduct leisure interest activities for residents under the supervision of the Director of Recreation or the Recreation Therapist.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Develops and maintains good working relationships with other staff. Effective communication with other staff, medical personnel, residents and their family/significant others, visitors and outside agencies and referral services. Basic computer skills, including e-mail.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
Computer skills, including Microsoft Office . Long-term care facility experience. Prior work experience with geriatric and disabled populations. High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
