Jersey City, NJ Teacher Counselor Position Description:

We are proud to employ Teacher Counselors - one of the top traits that differentiates us from other camps. Teacher Counselors must have a zest for working with children and are genuinely interested in helping children learn to swim, develop character, and grow personally while having fun at camp. Candidates will go through a state and federal criminal and background check and a Megan's Law check, reference checks, and pre-camp orientation and hands-on training. Our Teacher Counselors love working with children and are committed to providing a safe, instructive, and fun camp experience; our camp's main responsibilities. We run a fast-paced camp where a proactive person would thrive. We offer small groups where the child-to-Teacher Counselor ratio is 4:1, so you will be responsible for offering plenty of personalized time throughout the day with your group.

• Swim camp runs Mon-Fri in Jersey City, NJ
• Hours 8am-4:30pm, potential work until 6:30pm for additional pay

Summer:

Jun 15 - Sept 4. Applicant does not need to be available for the entire time. We are willing to work with candidates on a per week basis.

• Candidate may be a high school or college student with interest/previous work experience in working with children
• Experience in teaching swimming is a plus, but not a must, interest is a must Potential to make more money with our after school swimming program is available.
