Are you passionate about working with children and creating a fun, safe environment for youth? The Town of Kearny is excited to announce openings for Playground Play Leaders in our summer recreation program. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who want to make a positive impact in their community, develop leadership skills, and enjoy an energetic summer working outdoors. As a Playground Play Leader, you will supervise and engage with children during their daily playground activities, ensuring their safety while facilitating games, sports, arts and crafts, and other recreational events. You'll be responsible for planning age-appropriate activities, encouraging teamwork and good sportsmanship, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all participants. The program runs from June 22, 2026 through August 21, 2026 , with a weekly commitment of 25-35 hours . Compensation ranges from $16-$18 per hour , depending on experience. Applicants must be reliable, enthusiastic, and able to work collaboratively with staff and parents. Prior experience working with children is preferred, but not required.
