Summer Camp Counselor & Assistant Counselors

Tinton Falls Cooperative Preschool is looking for an experienced camp Counselor and 2 Assistant Counselors to work with our 3-year-old and 4-year-old camp groups for our Camp-at-the Co-op starting mid-June through the end of July. These are Part Time Positions! Perfect for someone who is looking to work with children in the mornings and enjoy summertime activities in the afternoons! TFCP Summer Camp is a place where children come to enjoy their summer days! Each camp day children enjoy free play, art activities, outside play, large motor activities, water play and more. Our counselors introduce weekly themes and incorporate materials and activities into making each theme a playful learning experience. Counselors must have prior experience leading a group of preschool children , including planning & preparation of daily activities. Assistant Counselors must have experience working with young children. CPR and First Aide training is a plus. Counselors and Assistant Counselors are required to arrive 15 minutes before and stay at least 15 minutes after the last camper leaves for the day. Counselors plan and prepare for each day by building on the theme of the week with materials and activities. Assistant Counselors meet with the counselors to share ideas for the week, finalize plans, and to facilitate in gathering materials as needed. Counselors and Assistant Counselors are responsible for the health and well-being of the children in their group along with the other campers and staff members on site. All staff members work as a team to keep the camp space clean and sanitized throughout each day. Both positions will require staying after regular camp hours to complete cleaning tasks on a rotating basis. All newly hired employees must pass a background check and fingerprinting prior to their first day with the children. TFCP follows all Office of Licensing requirements. All Counselors and Assistant Counselors must be at least 18 years old as per state regulations.
