Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant team as a Recreation Assistant, where your passion for engaging and enriching the lives of seniors and individuals with disabilities makes a meaningful difference every day. In this dynamic role, you will facilitate a variety of recreational activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, physical wellness, and overall happiness. Your energy and creativity will help foster a lively community environment that supports residents' well-being and independence. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and lead diverse recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, including arts and crafts, games, outings, and themed events Collaborate with care teams to incorporate therapeutic recreation techniques that support memory care, dementia care, and aging issues counseling Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure a balanced mix of social, physical, and cognitive engagement throughout the day Support residents in participating in community outings or special events that enhance social connections and community involvement Experience Prior experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and dementia care best practices Background in recreational therapy or senior care that involves working with individuals with disabilities or long-term care needs Proven ability to coordinate events or activities within a caregiving environment while managing schedules effectively Strong communication skills for engaging residents of varying cognitive levels and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams This role is ideal for energetic individuals eager to bring joy through recreation while supporting the health and happiness of our residents. Pay:
$15.92 - $15.93 per hour
